What’s the difference between a tendon and ligament?

Ligaments connect bone to bone. They are tough regularly arranged connective tissue that is slightly elastic. Tendons connect muscle to bone. They are non-elastic, but flexible connective tissue which allows the muscle to pull on the bone to create a movement.
