Your heart, slightly larger than your clenched fist, is a double self-adjusting muscular pump. All parts of the heart work together to propel blood to all parts of your body. The right side of your heart receives poorly oxygenated (‘venous’) blood from the body and pumps it through to the lungs to be oxygenated. The left side of your heart receives well- oxygenated blood from the lungs and pumps it through blood vessels (arteries) for distribution around the body. The recommended treatments are intended to support the function of the heart and circulatory system and should be used in conjunction with, and not in place of, any medications prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.
