Bladder

Like all parts of our body, the bladder occasionally needs some extra support. The bladder is made up of an elastic type of tissue which is able to stretch when full and return to normal after emptying. In some individuals, the bladder may begin to lose its’ elasticity and these individuals find that they need to urinate more often than they used to. This commonly occurs in the elderly. Frequent urination may also be a result of the weakening of the surrounding muscles which control the flow of urination. This often occurs in the elderly and in women who have had multiple pregnancies. The recommended treatments are intended to support the function of the bladder and should be used in conjunction with, and not in place of, any medications prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.
