Bladder weakness

Click here to open a printable version

A weakening of the bladder and the muscles supporting it results in a loss of ability to control urination (see Incontinence). A weakened bladder may result in the dribbling of urine or difficulty keeping urine in for long enough to be able to get to a toilet.

A weak bladder may cause embarrassment and may even restrict your quality of life. Please consult your healthcare practitioner if your symptoms persist for longer than eight weeks. Also see Incontinence
